"Jesus saith unto him, 'Feed my sheep.' " (St. John 21: 17b)
Christian Education & Outreach
We deepen our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, and share it with others, through Bible study, charitable action, and mission outreach.
Christian Education: Adult Sunday School classes focus on Bible Study and related topics. Contact the Rector for the latest class schedule. Also, we provide a standard curriculum from the American Church Union for children primary age and up, which can be used in children's' Sunday School or by parents who want to homeschool their children in the Faith.
Food Drive: The month of November leading up to Thanksgiving is a Food Drive emphasis at St. George's. Parishioners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help feed hungry families in our area.
Annual Diaper Drive: During December we collect disposable diapers that are given to families who need them.
Recovery Groups: For many years, we have hosted 12-step recovery groups. Currently we are hosting an AA group that meets at 6:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday.
TaxAide: On Tuesdays and Thursdays during tax season (Feb. - April) AARP's TaxAide service assists elderly and others (often low income) who welcome free assistance with tax preparation.
Blessing of the Animals: In honor of St. Francis of Assisi we offer a service for parishioners and neighbors who would like to have their pet animals blessed.
Anglican Church Women (ACW) and Anglican Church Men (ACM) are comprised of members who demonstrate the love of Christ by conducting service projects, leading fundraisers, and providing ongoing fellowship and nurture within the parish.
