We are a parish in the Diocese of the Atlantic States, in the Anglican Province of Christ the King (APCK). We are one of the various traditional Anglican entities in the United States (and across the world) that form what some people refer to as “The Continuing Church.” We are not, however, part of the “Worldwide Anglican Communion,” which is under the Archbishop of Canterbury, as is the Episcopal Church in the United States.
We are part of the One, great Tradition of the ancient and undivided Church of the first millennium; embracing the seven Ecumenical Councils, the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, the Apostolic Ministry of male Deacons, Priests, and Bishops, and the seven Sacraments as divinely appointed. We uphold family values and New Testament morality and use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer as the standard for our worship services. In short, we offer traditional episcopalian faith and practice.
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God and to contain all things necessary to salvation. The Bible is the source of our belief and moral standards. As God’s revealed Word to us, the Bible is the lens through which we view and evaluate all other claims to the Truth. We aim to speak the Truth in love while avoiding a judgmental, “holier than thou” attitude. We acknowledge we are all slaves to sin, and we pray for the grace to lead a more holy life in union with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our parish family reflects the diversity of today's society, yet we are united in our Spirit-filled worship, and in our desire to humbly and prayerfully serve each other and our community in the Name of Jesus Christ. We host an AA group and support various local missions as specific needs arise.
